Over the last 16 months it has been my privilege and pleasure to watch the project evolve all the way from the first excavations in the river bed to the finished bridge in all it's glory. It is not often in a lifetime that one has such an opportunity to witness the construction of such a technological masterpiece. I have taken this same opportunity to record the many facets of this amazing project on film. The pages that follow include a small fraction of these photos. Inevitably. there are aspects of the construction which I have missed - I do, after all, have the odd day job which needs my attention, not to mention the occasional holiday; and after so many setbacks the project team were not particularly forthcoming about when they expected to engage on or complete any particular task.
